The 2 copies of the game should be changed to both be added to your inventory

I do not understand why in the world they wouldn't just add both copies to your inventory so you were able to gift both away if you already have the game.

The way it works right now is super confusing and plain out bad, and results in a lot of refunds, and in the end will hurt the sales.

The way it is right now discourage buying the game as a gift for anyone, Klei you should look into making this system better, so people would actually want to gift this game to someone. I know you've missed out on at least 20$ from me alone due to the way it works right now.

you buy 1 game that comes with a giftable copy, you are not buyin 2 games.

sooo much different

Still a big way to discourage buying gifts for people. I just say it is very poorly designed.

is not, you rather buy only 1 game with no giftable copy?, what you want is to buy 1 game and be able to gift 2, thats clever ;)

i have a full education in game design, so i am in my full right to judge. i'd rater buy 1 game for the price of 1 game, or buy 2 games for the real price of 2 games, and not some in between unclear bs. And from a business perspective this choice is pretty damn bad.

That's just the way steam works, unfortunately there isn't any way we can change it

thats your opinion, this option has been there for a lot of time (years) and very few ppl wanting to take advantage of getting 2x1 are complaining :S

Ok that makes more sense, that steam functionality played a part in the way you have it set up... i guess i'll just gift one friend the game and ask him if he could toss the extra copy to another one of my friends...

Steam has actually changed how gifting works in May of this year. You can find more information here. https://steamcommunity.com/games/593110/announcements/detail/1301948399254001159 Klei cannot change how this works so any feedback regarding this should be directed to Valve Software.

Does the bundle of DST containing the extra copy (that you can send to a friend) send the extra copy to your Steam inventory by default? I was under the impression that the changes Valve made in May meant that games (new purchases from the store) could no longer be placed in the Steam inventory and had to be directly gifted to friends. (Or have the monetary amount refunded if they refused the gift.) I am surprised some bundles on the store are allowed to send copies to a Steam accounts inventory.
