Caves Nitrado dedicated server [Fixed]

Hello, I searched in the forum and nobody seems to have this post so I will ask, does someone with this server company (Nitrado) has been able to set up caves? I just follow their wiki and it just not working. I tried different things but Im not able to do it. 

The log shows this in the master server and is basically the same in the slave server:

I guess the line 89 have something to do with it ([00:00:03]: [Shard] Shard server mode disabled by configuration file) but I can't find anything about it to fix it.

In your cluster.ini there's a line in the [SHARD] part, that says

[SHARD]
shard_enabled = true

or shard_enabled = false for that matter in your case. Change that one to true and you should be good to go. If that line doesn't exist, you can manually paste it in there.

Made it work. The problem is their wiki, the document they have is bad wrote. I sent them a support request asking them to fix it and how to do it. In case they don't and someone have troubles with it... I will leave here the server.ini file as should be.

That's not quite right. "bind_ip = " needs to either have 127.0.0.1 for local machines, or the network IP of the master shard server, which usually isn't 0.0.0.0.

Also you don't need to add the name again, and you don't need to define a ID. Never did those two, and was never necessary.

Not necessarily true.

When dealing with servers. the address 0.0.0.0 can contextually mean "all IPv4 addresses on the local machine".

For example, if a host has two IP addresses, 192.168.1.1 and 10.0.0.1, and a server running on this host has been configured to listen on 0.0.0.0, it will therefore be reachable at both of these IP addresses.

This is often due to the design implicit in virtualization and their inhabited network environments. Most sane providers will use a hypervisor based architecture, and as such, allocating a wildcard address suits the purpose of the environment.

Essentially, due to the amalgamation of interfaces, virtual machines, bare metal servers, and constantly shifting network and physical topology, the server is better left in a state of "listen on every available network interface".
