sadovsf
Hello there, Is it only me or has OR gate no usage at all? Basically if I connect multiple outputs together (sensors for example) then every wire junction I make between them serves as an OR itself. OfficialLolicon
I actually noticed the same when experimenting with the Automation Upgrade. IMO, I think any other gates can serve the same function, unless I overlook something. PhailRaptor
As your systems get more complex and inter-related, you will run into problems if you connect your Auto wires that way. You'll end up breaking your conditional systems by accidentally locking the system in an "on" position. Risu
Or gates are more useful as a diode than as a real gate. Use them to isolate circuit groups when necessary. As Risu mentioned sometimes you want also isolation as you could have signal consumers on OR gate inputs. Like here when someone is eating on any table light his bulb and if anyone is eating produce oxygen but don't light both bulbs when just one is eating. sadovsf
Finally so there is some use. Not much, but there is some, i did not think of that at all. Great thx for the idea Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/84812-or-gate-usage/#findComment-978797 Share on other sites

Great thx for the idea And I didn't think about not using OR and did it automatically even on my simple systems where I now removed it. So thanks for this thread I saved some refined metal... I removed OR gate from my small system to open door on button press or evening/night hours and it works fine without it.
