Water Shortage problem.

If it really is Slimelung, donutman07 is correct, chilling it will cause the Slimelung to die.  As will filtering the P-H2O into clean H2O.  Both together for greater effectiveness.  If it's Food Poisoning, heat it instead.  Stick a Tepidizer (or 2 if it's a large tank) in there and let it run.

It is possible, though I think that the germs slowly die in the water if its at a certain temperature, but if it happens to be near or in a slime biome it wont completely die out due to it always be replenished by the block nearby.
