Dirmagnos
Simple question, do freefloating chlorine coming in contact with germs(air and dupes) decrease it concentration ? BlueLance
If you mean does it kill germs, then I kills germs that are on its tile, not sure about tiles next to it. As for the chlorine it does not lose any mass Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/83827-chlorine-dissipation/#findComment-971308 Share on other sites
Coolthulhu
On dupes and items yes, but not in dupes or in liquids. With gases, it "kinda does", but not enough to matter. Basically, any two gas tiles in contact exchange germs. Germs on chlorine tiles will quickly die, but the exchange is slow and gases naturally separate. You'd need to shower the area with chlorine from the above for it to matter. Dirmagnos
Does it consume chlorine in the process ? I cant figure out how it works. Sometimes i have clouds of chlorine floating around mixed with polluted oxygen for long times and sometimes chlorine seem to disappear from area somehow. Considering that its supposed to be heavy gas, i find it hard to believe that it floats away from areas that are restricted from sides by walls. BlueLance
No it does not consume Chlorine, Sometimes though if two tiles meet they will merge creating a bigger tile of Chlorine. If it is a really small tile of chlorine I have seen them be squeezed out of existence by other High Pressured Gasses Such as my room I fill with Hydrogen, it eventually just deleted the Carbon Dioxide in the room, It takes a lot of pressure though. The only other way I know of gasses randomly disappearing is if a door closes on them quick enough it will delete them. eloy2030
I discovered that if pressure of low enough they will disappearĀ also. I think is around 5mcg. GuyPerfect
I haven't had any luck killing germs in the air by putting chlorine in the same atmosphere, so there's that... With regards to gas interactions, check to make sure the chlorine's overall pressure isn't increasing. That might make it seem like there's less of it, since it's taking up less space. Also be aware that while chlorine is heavier than oxygen and polluted oxygen, it's lighter than carbon dioxide, so it might be forced out of an area if someone breathes into it.
