Before the automation upgrade I was playing on a helicona map, and shortly after I tried to make a water purifier using lava, the game went from roughly 40 fps to 15 fps. Spoiler Maybe... due to the high difference in temperature, the game tries to simulate the spread of a big amount of energy in a big area. I dunno... Haven't tried since then.
