Technoincubus
When calculating power consumption of your one poewer line current 120x is very annoying. Making all power consumption x100 would make things much clearer and more intuitive. Reduce power production to compensate. With machinery consuming 100 or 200 watts everyone can easily calculate how much of total power is consumed, instead of dealing with 120 and 240.. The Plum Gate
Clicking the wire does some of the math for you in the energy tab. Botaxalim
Except they behind some switch, energy tab dont count that unless they active Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/82992-make-all-power-consumption-x100-instead-of-x120/#findComment-964077 Share on other sites
Technoincubus
Also, this would be handy with planning stage, when you only plan how and what machinery to place, not dealing with existing circuits. LeadfootSlim
The 120 makes it more challenging, but it also gives you guaranteed spare change for 10w lightbulbs. Right now they're totally useless except for bristle blossoms and algae, but I get a sneaking suspicion that those might be more useful in the future. n37runn3r
I think they were trying to make it more realistic? Most of the stuff in my house seems to ask for multiples of 120w. Yoonizar
I don't know if this is true or not, but with 120, 240, etc. It would be harder to overload because the highest combination would be like 960 or something. But if it's 100 or 200 it would be easier to overload because it can sum into exactly 1000. And your highest number would be at 900, therefore you would waste the 100W slot. Maybe Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/82992-make-all-power-consumption-x100-instead-of-x120/#findComment-964706 Share on other sites

Maybe exactly, the wires overload on 1000 watt load, not 1001, so it's all about headroom. Now if we were to request more low wattage devices to bridge the gap. ..or timer switches, then things could get interesting or complicated.
