How to use plastic?

I've made hundreds of tons of plastic but I don't know how to use them.

Plastic ladders seem only speed up by 20%, and plastic tiles does not allow water/air flow, so they just seems useless.

The most characteristic thing of plastic is its large thermal conductivity and large heat capacity. Any idea of making use of this?

You can make your med room completely out of plastic tiles since they have germ resistance. But other than that try building some comfy beds or petroleum generators.

Build ladders of plastic. The climb speed is genius.

ladders, bed, and as "back up" power, not that i think u need it with natural gas

You don't need to build all of your floors out of gas permeable or mesh tiles, just one or two every few normal tiles is enough imo. That leaves you plenty of space to place plastic tiles to speed your dupes up with. They're also useful for tunnels going through slime biomes, as they prevent the slimelung germs from spreading through the walls.

with plastic thermal conductivity i think its great for transfer cold from hydrogen cooling room ,
like refrigerator room for your food stash , just need a room with couple wheezeworth and some hydrogen gas
but bad for transfering heat since they easily melt
