She learned quite fast that he wouldn’t get aggressive with her and Webber as much as he does with the rest of the survivors. Plus, their fascination for death and occult makes interesting (though morbid) conversations. It reflects his amulet. The frame has one feathery wing and one demonic wing. Also the "eye" on his torso is the gem. The amulet literally took over his body.
