BlueLance
Hello, I am hoping someone whose good with maths or digging through data can help answer this, I found a steam geyser and when it is erupting it outputs 36.6kg/s of water, Is this number not too high? or does it balance out to a much smaller output during a cycle duration? Sevio
If I recall correctly it averages out to about 4 kg per second.
BlueLance
Just now, Sevio said: If I recall correctly it averages out to about 4 kg per second. I do remember it being something around that, but ive never noticed that when it erupts its such a large amount, donno if this changes the output per cycle or if it is the same. Michi01
If I remember correctly it cycles between outputting hot water and steam, so that would mean that not every erruption produces 36.6kg/s
Cilya
The geyser alternate between "rising pressure", "emitting water" and "emitting steam". You can average the values on a whole cycle. From this thread On 25/08/2017 at 9:39 PM, Risu said: Average of 4.0278 kg/s for water and 166.6667 g/s for steam. So 4.1944 kg/s total water mass. BlueLance
That answers that then, I did notice it also outputs steam, which i am thankful for, I did notice that even when submerged it still does the animations, but i never caught whether it added water or not. Coolthulhu
Geyser has an output radius of 2. This means that if you put the ceiling too low, having water or compressed gas on it will stop it from working, but if you give it some extra space, it should work even if fully submerged.
