BigHead Jackon
I'm really happy about the new update haven't run to any bug except this overheating problem. I don't know if it is intended from developer or it is just a bug. So the problem is electric grill overheating. every time I want to cook the grill is keep getting damage from overheating and the heat increase really fast and I tried to use different material to build the grill but nothing can stop it from damaging. I placed hydrofan around the grill but it didn't help. The overheating problem also scalding the duplicants. Have any of you guys encountered this problem ? Michi01
Huh, 162.5 W, that's more than three coal generators
Mjello
Yup that is a bit anoying. But using it in a hydrogen atmo is still possible. When I figured that out it did not bother me much. Allthough my dupes have to run for air all the time ....
Kasuha
Heat production of the grill was increased intentionally. There was some discussion about it in closed testing but devs likely considered it fine.

As right now the grill in normal temperature will overheat and damage really fast about 2 or 3 Forest bun .If they intended to do the increase heat at least give us a solution? Grimgaw
Takes in 60W of electricity produces 162.5W of heat. Yup. Makes sense.

Now I know why it didn't bother you much. Because I believe you put the grill in unbreathable air. Dupes can't constantly produce food therefore no overheat !! Smart! But still I want to hear what dev has to say

BlueLance
Nah you guys can just use a thermos switch and a sufficient concentration of oxygen (The switch needs to be wolframite and the cooker made of copper) Copper cools down rapidly, and the switch will stop it overheating.
