Recovering from a disease should increase a dupe's immunity stat

I was hoping that it would work that way before the update was released. It makes sense and it would give us a way to increase the stat, as currently it isn't possible to do so.

They could always give us the excuse the germs are constantly evolving, and that's why the dupes can't raise their immunity by surviving them...

I'm all up for your suggestion, though!

Well then temporary bonus to resistance.

You get that.  When your dupe has recovered from a disease they get a perk along the lines of 'getting better', which makes them *immune* to disease for *two cycles*.

Imo a permanently increased immunity stat would just make the entire germ mechanic eventually pointless - not a good idea.

They can give it a reasonable cap. And you don't really want your dupes to get sick at all, so it won't increase very often.
The cap could be at +5 immunity, I mean picking only +5 immunity dupes doesn't mean that you can ignore diseases and given how slowly recovery would increase immunity, by the time you could upgrade a dupe's immunity to anything meaningfully high, you'd probably have proper hygiene anyway.
