Daylight sensor

Recommended Posts

A sensor to toggle devices on/off at night would be useful. Could be used to turn off lights that are over mess tables, or to turn on circuits using power generators/batteries, since you can't use hamster wheels at night

But I imagine calibrating that to precisely match the daily cycle would be a pain.

Packets travel at 1 tile per second through pipes. You can set up a pipe loop of exactly the right length rather easily, just count the tiles.

You can set up a detector that will notice the packet going through certain pipe segment and will e.g. send some natural gas or hydrogen to a generator to produce some power when that happens.

they may not have day and night as it were, but.. they clearly do! they work when its light, during the "day" and sleep, in the dark.. at "night".. i think this is a brilliant idea

Except if you disable their beds, then they will keep working through the dark time too. And if you have narcoleptics, they will even get enough sleep during their "episodes".
