Records and challenges

I love this game, and you guys build so many interesting stuff and use it in so many cool ways. I am a bit competitive of me, just friendly, and are wondering if you guys have any records or challenges (maybe within a set number of cycles, or special dupes).

 

Also I love to listen to and watch interesting gameplay, and have pretty much exhausted youtube of what i can find. Comment if you got something or someone!

"The Martian" : One dupe only all game.

You need to kill 2 of the originals ASAP. Just wall them in somewhere or do something else creative. Bury them later.

Have to watch out for entrapment carefully or else GAME OVER, aint nobody gonna save you from your head stuck in a tile. It'd be a slow game too. I have not tried it, I think it might be quite tricky.

"Misery loves company" : Pick a vice (ie a negative trait) and make all dupes have the same one, eg Gastrophobia = No cooking. This may force your hand and limit intake also as the three dupes you get might not have this trait. See traits list here for ideas -

You could flip this and make everyone have the same positive trait instead.

Challenge: Biosphere 3
Create a selfsustaining biome. 
 

Conditions
- Needs to have at least 1 duplicate
- Any starting condition is valid (debug mode etc)
- Nothing goes in or out
- All machinery and piping are inside the perimeter defining the Biosphere 3.
- Size does not matter
- Recycling of daily needs (water etc)

Delivery + Power is to demanding at the start, so anyone can do that + gives okay bonus.

I am gonna try this, but gonna do it right from the start: one digger, one builder and one delivery guy

I had a go at high society in the early game. It felt surprisingly good. It was slower but the base was kept a lot tidier by the delivery dupe constantly tidying things away in to compactors when the builder didn't need anything. A hard goal to aim for would be zero idle time keeping every dupe occupied.

My next two dupes went to power and then research.

I just started another high society run. Poor Max was unlucky dupe number three. He will get plenty of time off though.

I also learned that any dupe is happy to actually empty the outhouses. Only composting is the full time job. I expected the compost dupe to handle that as well.

Lol yeah I'm doing this one right now. Named my dupe Whatney.

Bonus points for other non-communal features, like a gym, garden, fridge...

Standalone bases. Send your three dupes into different directions and have them each start their own individual bases. Maybe start off as the Martian challenge and switch to this one once you unlock mechanical airlocks
