Catus
According to the wiki, the density of chlorine is 3.2 g/L, and the carbon dioxide is 1.97 g/L. But in game, the carbon dioxide will sink below chlorine, is this a mistake? By the way, the game says carbon dioxide is toxic, but I think it's just asphyxiant. Last Templar
Cant reply for the first question but I can awnser the seccond (even tho its not a question) Ordinarily, carbon dioxide is not poisonous. It diffuses from your cells into your bloodstream and from there out via your lungs, yet it is always present throughout your body. However, if you breathe high concentrations of carbon dioxide or re-breathe air (such as from a plastic bag or tent), you may be at risk for carbon dioxide intoxication or even carbon dioxide poisoning. Carbon dioxide intoxication and carbon dioxide poisoning are independent of oxygen concentration, so you may have enough oxygen present to support life, yet still suffer from the effects of rising carbon dioxide concentration in your blood and tissues. Symptoms of carbon dioxide toxicity include high blood pressure, flushed skin, headache and twitching muscles. At higher levels, you could experience panic, irregular heartbeat, hallucinations, vomited and potentially unconsciousness or even death. Threehorns
it seems that 0.03% -0.04% CO2 is Earth atmosphere norm. 20.9% O2 is Earth atmosphere norm Considered acceptable with O2 at 19.5% 0.1% CO2 for continues expore 0.5% CO2 for 40 hour workweek (8 hour shifts) 1.0% CO2 for 10 hours workshift expore 3.0% CO2 for 10 (to 15) minutes 4.0% CO2 is considered dangerous to life (and health) Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/77468-density-of-chlorine-and-carbon-dioxide-wrong/#findComment-900571 Share on other sites

Risu
In this game, Chlorine gas has a molar mass of 34.453 g/mol and CO2 has a molar mass of 44.01 g/mol. Interesting, I found that maybe they made a mistake of using Cl rather than Cl2 as the formula of chlorine. Also, they use H rather than H2 as the formula of hydrogen. But the oxygen's formula seems right. Kasuha
I would guess the game is not really working with density at all since everything is organized by tiles and there is no change with temperature. What density has 100 g of water in a tile, compared to 2000 g of oxygen in the tile above it? Shouldn't the water float up to the ceiling? You certainly don't expect it to do so. Grimgaw
Does density exist in 2D world? Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/77468-density-of-chlorine-and-carbon-dioxide-wrong/#findComment-901885 Share on other sites
