Kruleworld
I've noticed the hatch creature isn't able to feed itself atm. i usually dig a few tiles so they've got something to eat. what about when they are on their own? they need to randomly dig one block to eat the resource when there's no resources lying around for them. i guess they need something to stop them digging into bad areas, or maybe leave it if they are just lemmings. auron471
place storage boxes full of minerals near them. and when the boxes are full, make it so the boxes are set to store nothing so it drops onto the floor and the hatches can eat em. Also make the floor out of tiles so the hatches cant burrow and thus make coal even during the day Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/77420-hatch-diggings/#findComment-907843 Share on other sites

Mine are on solid floor for 500+ cycles, not dying. They can die if the temperature gets way too off their limits, though, I would guess that might have been the real reason for that experience.
