I support the idea that bones could be used to tame Hounds in the game as i had also though of this at once point (taming hounds), maybe if they worked in a similar fashion to the smallbirds where they require feeding maybe via a different structure like a dog bowl because having a horde of hounds to fight for you does seem a little easy considering how often they show up and how easily bones from a rabbit for say could be acquired.Another use for bones related to the idea of hounds could be a Pole that stops the dogs from following you like the eye bone from chester, i can imagine having dogs follow you the entire duration of you play through become annoying in some cases... the Pole could look similar to a stick with a bone hanging from it out of reach from the hound like a comical motivation tool seen often in treed mill acts.I apologise if this is not the type of feedback that would be appreciated!

Text to Jeff: " If you can kill it, you can cook it". Makes more effective food. Can't wear a hat.Text to Twigster : Spawns when the player hast more than 40 twigs -> random ( which means he spawns randomly)Text to Grassmonk : very rare in early days, drops Red Gem, does not attackText to golden chain: 20 Gold needed, can be given to the pig king for a random hat.Text to Tentacle Hat : take less damage from tentacles -> 3x Silk + 1x Tentacle SpotsHere you go. Actually I never saw it this way but why is a spider queen in the game and no other bigger versions of other monsters?By the way your right I saw the spider queen and just made the same thing with the hounds.I have to say that I do have enough ideas for other monsters but the potential that this game offers is gigantic. The only thing that really has to stay is the balancing and the difficulty. So why not make a mother of hounds AND new creatures ?

Came across this again after playing don't starve and it just came to mind that this should be the theme song for don't starve. :D:D:D

I think my one may have already been done, but it didn't look like what I'm suggesting. Also would be innaresting to use this idea as a jumping off point for others. Basically it's like exceedingly rare versions of animals, in my case, the Jackalope (horned rabbit.) (alright, more horned than usual!) A rare rabbit that can be fed into the science machine for a research bonus.

So I have been playing this game for about 2 weeks now or maybe less, I cannot say for sure. But no matter what I try I am stuck getting killed around day 10-12. I have plenty of food and supplies just cant seem to find the right way to keep things like Treeguards/Were-pigs at bay. Any advice?

I was thinking as i was playing, I don't really have ANYTHING to fear during the daytime whilst i scavenge for berries and such. Nothing really attacks you other then maybe a tentacle or a frog, but those are exclusive to the Swamp. It seems in the plains and forest nothing to fear but fear itself (Maybe a spider nest or two, but the spiders don't seem to come out much). For the Quarries there is the occasional Tallbird that only attacks when you get too close. Those Savannas with the Beefalo don't seem to be dangerous unless i decide to try my luck with a couple of Beefalo. So what have i to fear as i rummage around picking berries and fearlessly murdering the cute little rabbits? Maybe a Bear, or something similar (A different name will be given to it of course) could be added. It would wander around the plains where berries spawn eating those like a Gobbler would. It would be aggressive only if the player has fish/berries in their inventory and/or you provoke it in some way. Once killed it could drop meat and/or a pelt that could be used for clothing or something else. I feel as if a threat should be added for the daytime because wolves are just not too common and i'm not dumb enough to pick a fight with every living thing i see that breaths my air. Please take this suggestion into consideration, and if it is not implemented i fully understand. I have been playing the game for quite some time so i have plenty experience with the game so this isn't just some random thought i had after day 5 (I'm on Day 70) Thanks for your time, and don't forget to leave plenty of feedback!

Hello forum! I had a thought whilst exploring some unmarked graves to the North of my encampment a couple of days ago. I had packed my kitbag full of essentials to last the night, but in a somewhat foolhardy moment decided to pitch my fireplace next to a rather large spider mound...the long and short is that I spent a *very* eventful night dancing with spiders and turned out to have been very fortunate in finding a short lived amulet in a gravestone earlier! Anyway, I digress. I thought, seeing as being out at night seems very dangerous surely spiders must be able to see in the dark? Their nightly activities and big eyes certainly suggest a certain nocturnal preference! - Now most animals that can see in the dark have reflective lenses within their eyes. Considering the beautiful, yet haunting lighting given off by fireflies, I propose that spider eyes also gleam with a similar light. Potentially only if lit by the ambience of a campfire or other light source... Imagine wandering in the woods at night with nothing but a torch or mining helmet to suddenly see hundreds of gleaming eyes staring back at you from the darkness! - Truly an eerie, if not terrifying sight to behold! What do the rest of you guys think? Gleaming spider eyes or no? Let me hear your responses and comments Spook x
