GentlemanFridge Posted February 22, 2017 Share Posted February 22, 2017 There are multiple possibilities that may cause your character to say 'I can't do that.' Either you're feeding it something it cannot eat. Though that's unlikely, since any critter can eat any food. Or you're switching equipment whilst walking to the critter. For some reason, your character cannot do what you told it to do when you change the tool held, hat worn, etc. Lastly, your critter is busy with something. I wouldn't know what, but maybe that's what's happening. I don't think you can feed your pet whilst it's sleeping. If none of the above apply to your case, then I really don't know what's going on.
