The forms are assumed to be different ways you can build the fossil of the "Stalker" added quite a few updates back, and that it will take many shapes as a boss. The definition of atrium is as follows: "Each of the two upper cavities of the heart from which blood is passed to the ventricles. The right atrium receives deoxygenated blood from the veins of the body; the left atrium receives oxygenated blood from the pulmonary vein." At least, this is the anatomic one, and the one I believe Klei was going for. Basically, the atrium would be what leads you to the heart... of the ruins. There's also an on-going conversation about this update going on here in this thread, so check it out! It does sound like they plan to open up a new space in the caves.
