BOSSzombie Posted October 28, 2016 Share Posted October 28, 2016 Just curious, because I saw it mentioned in the main post for A New Reign (Part 1)'s PC release details that it would be coming to PS4, but it was vague on details. Is the update still pending? Has it been submitted but waiting on Sony's approval? Is it still only on the drawing board? Would love to know, staff, if that's possible. The PS certification process for updates is a pain, but I hope we'll get adequate time to obtain Halloween items/skins. Don't Starve is my favorite game to play this time of year! I've been holding off on playing DST for the past 2 weeks until the end of the period before the servers reset, so that I don't use my 4 weekly drops on something that doesn't have a chance to be Costume skins. Exactly I'm not sure when the servers reset (I heard it was on Thursdays, but that could just be PC). But I wanna have max chances of getting at least one. Also, since we don't have the trading system in place yet, maybe increase our chances of getting Halloween items so we don't feel left out? Servers seem to reset around 5/6 PM EST on Thursday for PS4 in my experience. The Hallowed Nights content update was separate and not required for the skins. So get playing! Developer CharlesB Posted October 28, 2016 Developer Share Posted October 28, 2016 As for when A New Reign will be released, the answer is the same as it was in the last thread A New Reign is indeed still in beta and under active development on PC/Steam. It will becoming to PS4 once it's finished. I can't give you an exact timeline at his point. All I can say is that there will be a large PS4 content update before the end of the year. I thought the Halloween skins which we can save will come with hallowed night update...at least this is what I understand from this quote: "Also available are special disguises that will stick around, but they’ll only drop during the season of Hallowed Nights, so be on the look-out for these rare items and snag them all while you can! Good luck, have fun, and brace yourself for a scare! (Note: Due to the certification process, Hallowed Nights and ANR content is coming for PS4 players in a future update.) As noted before, this is really the first time we were able to do something like this, and we arranged to avoid this from happening in any future event. The Hallowed Nights game content (the pumpkins and candy) that were part of ANR will be coming in a future update. However "Hallowed Nights" as an event, meaning the time we are dropping the items, is currently happening. The temporary costumes and the disguises that you get to keep are being dropped right now, and will continue to do so until the end of the event. While we weren't able to get the ANR content into (which includes the pumpkins and candy) into PS4 in time, we didn't want PS4 to miss out on the item drops, so we put that in an update all by itself well before the event so it would be available. Oh. Well then. Did you guys happen to increase the drop rates for the limited time Costume Stuff on PS4, seeing as how we can't trade/use a market? Or are they just as likely to drop as anything else?
