deeredman1991 Posted July 24, 2016 Share Posted July 24, 2016 Hi, I am looking to create a practice world on Don't Starve where I can cheat myself in some nightmare armor and practice combat...however, because I am planning on cheating, I don't want to get XP when my character dies...(especially as I haven't unlocked all the characters) does anyone have any suggestions on how I might achieve this? Asparagus Posted July 24, 2016 Share Posted July 24, 2016 Well since you're cheating anyway, you can: go godmode so you won't die? command: c_godmode() spawn in a lot of touchstones well, that's the simple way I'm thinking of currently... then just delete the world so you don't accidentally get xp... Because the point is to practice dodging. Option 1: While in god mode, you don't take damage, and don't go hungry... but if you get hit, you still trigger sounds as if you were taking damage... Option 2: Don't go godmode and just spawn in touchstones, activate them... then you can take damage and not worry about dying... I mean... you die, but you get revived using the touchstones... Your deaths, if you die will still go to morgue though. I don't know why, but even when you get resurrected, it still counts as a death in the morgue. EDIT: Practicing I don't think is the intention here. The whole wiki and the fact that you can cheat stuff in to try it out is counter to how you're supposed to play the game generally speaking; trial and error.
