What to offer for knowing all?

Recommended Posts

Personally, I love being able to craft anything in the game without having to stay near to somewhere. Forgetting about the Altar and only considering those you could prototype, now:

What and how much in game item you would like to offer if there is an magical altar (like the one in Shipwrecked; seriously if you still haven't checked it out, go play!) that can instantly give you all the in-game blueprints that you can learn? (Or equivalent effect; but here let's assume all these blueprints don't give any sanity boost).

Shorter question: what's the price of having everything prototyped?

Now, don't say anything that is easily mass-produced (such as logs) and the like. I would offer my first cane and tam (so I won't have for another year).

Hmm... My walking cane, the beret, a shadow manipulator, scalemail, the dark sword, the star caller's staff, a full stack of nightmare fuel, seventy-seven bear arses piggiebutts.... any THE HALLOWED POTATO CUP.

Really? That seems too much though. You could obviously get all the recipes unlocked in a full game year.

Too much? Magic ALWAYS comes at a price!

Cheers :]. I would offer this stuff, honest. I would want the option to be balanced.

Maybe try making the world harder instead. It could be anything. Depending on how much of a challenge you want, the world could start in winter or permanent night for the first season. Maybe your world has less resources.

It just happened to me that the original question is asking something very similar to the original "research points" system. So, how much total research points you would ever need to unlock everything, would be the question. But when I started playing DS (it was pretty long time ago) the research point system was already gone.
