I'm quite happy with the formal collection(I just wish they would change some of the items visuals and certain beavers, and ghosts) and I don't think they need to add a candlestick to the collection although it would be funny to be in a pvp server kill someone with the candlestick and see the message "Wx-78 did it with a candlestick in the dark forest."

I wonder what the next collection will be though, apparently the initial ideas will be implemented but that's later on. 

I wonder if the Lunar Collection will be getting a main character set, since it seems to be a really loose "set" with mostly unrelated items.

I more meant like will there be a main set for it? 

Guest of Honor is the main set in the Formal Collection

The Survivor is the main set in the Survivor Collection

The Triumphant is the main set in the Shadow Collection

...

The Lunar Collection is a loose collection of cardigans, robes, and for some reason the Scorching Satchel.

It has no main set for the characters to wear.

Ah, this. Now I can see your point. I'd appreciate less modern items, even more so things that look a bit outdated to allow the interpretation the characters actually made them in the DST world, hence something like a medieval tunic and the-like. But judging by the general tendency to Make Everything Bigger and Posher, I won't hold my breath for it.

I'm sure we'll get something medieval at some point, but if Guest of Honor is anything to go by we aren't supposed to take the skins too seriously it's doubtful they look that nice out there in the Don't Starve world. xD

Now We Wait (in a sufficiently grim tone of a gruff sage; or something; my players always make fun of me no matter how great praises they sing of my GM-ing afterwards, so I would hate to lead you astray).

The survivor collection was the closest to what I am looking for, but after running about in the clothes and realising only the vanillas support their transparency options, I sort of gave up. The Canadian jacket and the mighty survivor Wolfgang combination (I shall not gush - we all know Wolfie's survivor head and the bearger hide are the definition of 2D fanservice the game is perfectly capable of pulling off) are the closest.

Oh, and the silk robe. Fifteen more days and I will have the stylish yellow one instead of the easthetically-challenged rump red version. It is the closest to a no-nonsense tunic I can get. And funnily the red sneakers work better than the Canadian boots for me. Huh.
