GREGDREW
So it's been awhile since I played this wonderful game and I just made it to summer in ROG. I cannot tell if I am having a glitch or not. My base is in a forest biome, and there is a HORRIBLY loud repeating cricket noise that covers up everything else and never ends - even if I pause the game. This cannot be right as it occurs in other forest biomes too, I tried going into caves and back to see if it'd go away but to no avail. I kinda think it's intentional... the desert has the same problem only it sounds like a rocking chair that needs WD-40. Would simply deleting these sound files fix my problem? If not I'll never make a forest or desert base again... Hopefully the savannah isn't ruined. Mobbstar
Sounds like somebody forgot to set a category. Are you using any mods? Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/66425-summer-sound-effects/#findComment-751565 Share on other sites
GREGDREW
Thanks for replying. Bought the game from Steam and I've never installed a mod before. I tried verifying game cache, only thing I could really think of. Started immediately when the first auto-save chug of summer hit. I'll try after work tonight to begin a world in summer, (maybe spawn in some stuff to survive!) just to see if it is unique to this save-game. I could maybe record myself playing my current world tomorrow afternoon and upload it to youtube this would probably be the smartest thing to do. Still kinda think these sounds are supposed to be there but they are driving me crazy. Doing good on my first Maxwell world hopefully I don't have to make a new one and/or reinstall. PhelsarusBeel
Do you own Shipwrecked? Apparently there is some wonkyness with the Soundeffects that are somehow caused by Shipwrecked. GREGDREW
Yes I do own shipwrecked. Maybe I'll try taking Maxwell to shipwrecked and back maybe something will change. I guess just making a new world wouldn't be the actual end of the world lol. All of this happened to me too, I went to SW and then came back, the noises were still there next summer Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/66425-summer-sound-effects/#findComment-751867 Share on other sites

I'll just make a new shipwrecked world and maybe come back after some kinks are worked out.
