gonz008
I'm Just curious on why you guys think DST Creatures don't deal disproportional damage, i.e, if their health is scaled up, but their damage or damage effect isn't. I personally like the whole kitting method used in single players DS. However, when it comes to DST multiple people can easily kill a beefalo if one person just tanks it, getting rid of the kiting system. I know the factors in which make the armor system in DST differentiate from DS. But you could just stack more log suits in case they run out. I think it would be great if werepigs, beefalo and other creatures would have an AOE or increased damage as when killing them in groups it would make killing them more group oriented and at the same time make it harder for people to kill creatures by themselves (they get punished more if their kiting strategy isn't well thought out). I don't know I just feel giving them just an HP boost doesn't make it harder. It just makes it more tidious. Whats your take on it? Sheauwn
I am appreciative of your desire to make the game more difficult. True Don't Starve player. I say the damage and health should be configurable at world start so the player has the option to balance. I think that would be a pretty good idea, I think it would be really good idea if ,lets say beefalo, had a targetted attack and an AoE attack that would trigger at the same time, The targetted attack would deal a small amount of damage, but the AoE damage would deal a %max health damage (based on the person that the beefalo had targetted), this way if people aren't kitting and just beating them up it could have some repercussions. BlindGunner
New moves, great. Always using said new moves? No thanks. Also, if mobs gained AoEs it would make people more inclined to solo as not to all get hit Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/66329-why-dont-non-boss-creatures-in-dst-deal-scaled-disproportional-damage/#findComment-750391 Share on other sites

I think this system combined with the scaled health system should encourage people to work together more.
