Electric eel's are cool, but we already have jellyfish's that hit with electricity. So this one I pass... It would electrocute the area around it on ocean, dealing constant damage to surrounding things (including you) and stunning them for a few seconds. Or you could just have eels pop out of coral every so often. Leeches sound awesome though.
