How long will this game remain in Early Access?

Recommended Posts

Yep. New stuff is still being added and bugs are still being smoothed out. For instance- caves. They were just added which is kind of huge and has caused issues with lag etc. So it will come off beta when- its ready- at least I imagine thats the plan.

I think DST is even more complete than DS. The last things are the caves and fix bugs (but that happens periodically)

Yeah I think that too, the way that the world is generated in DST is way more natural than in singleplayer ROG.

Also new items, structures, creatures, more challenging health parameters on mobs and bosses, picking up items with spacebar, if you have an item on the mouse cursor, better fire spread mechanics, digging up tree saplings for twigs, for my taste a better balanced Woodie and Beefalo domestication.

The only reason for me to start DS Singleplayer is Shipwrecked, DST makes everything else of Vanilla and ROG better than Singleplayer...

except that the Dragonfly doesn't visit you anymore in summer.

(the Dragonfly could just fly to your base in Summer and after knocking her down after 1000-2000 damage and getting a Scale from her, she could just fly back to her lava biom, otherwise barely any player will fight the DST Dragonfly)

Oh...and DST has also multiplayer I guess, that is good too. ^__^

If we would left Early-Access at the end of the original DS release content, we would have been out a long time ago. =)

Remember, DS had an additional 6 months of content that came after release as well as Reign of Giants before we even got to DST. DST had to get all of that in, AND solve challenges that come with adjusting to multiplayer.

We don't have much longer to go, here is are most recent roadmap: http://forums.kleientertainment.com/topic/61295-happy-holiday-update-dec-23-2015/

And we have more info coming up soon.

Oh and good to see you again @LtShinySides long time no see :wilson_bearded:
