Pig Villages

There are islands with unusually large numbers of pig houses (like 5+), and I have found 3 clustered together.

However, I don't think that a wild boar village is an official feature in the world generation, so don't spend too long looking for one.

Exactly.

Honestly though, why would they have a village? They're all meanies.

If you just stand near them for too long they attack you. They are not as nice as the pigs :c

I didn't realise that they attacked you if you stood by them for too long... 0_0

I think the wild boars are meant to be less civilised and sociable than the pigs.

It would make sense too. The boars are 'wild' animals, and so are more savage and haven't developed any real society; which is why they tend to live alone or in small groups. In RoG, they are pigs rather than boars, and aren't described as 'wild'. Pigs are animals that you only really find under human control in farms, and can therefore be classed as a more 'civilised' animal than the boars. This would explain why they are more open to your presence and often live in villages with a clear leader and farms.

It's like Lord of the Flies, only with pigs and not humans. The wild boars show us what the pigmen are like with no real social structure, which is no more than animals

Oh. That makes an awful lot of sense. Huh.

Wow. I don't know if Klei meant for this, but I really appreciate details like this thrown in a different world.
