I'm a Don't Starve artist and I take commissions to do digital art, something I excel in.

However, when contacting me about commissioning, a client asked me if I will do Don't Starve modding for a rate.

I know that it's ok to pay artists to do things. However, I want to ask if this is allowed. I don't want to get into legal trouble with Klei, so I want to get a final confirmation before accepting their offer.

This was brought up last year with almost the exact same scenario. I know at the time it was okay for people to do commission work and some artist/coders work together on commissions.

I want to direct @JoeW to the topic as he will be able to answer the question.

It should be fine, especially if it's an OC (I'm trying to find someone to commission for my own OC as a mod) but I agree that Joe could probably answer that question a bit better.

EDIT: Oh wow...I didn't even notice who I was responding to here. Lol

@JoeW was this answer ever added to the official modding guidelines?

As far as i saw, it seemed like it was up in the air. I saw rules against making money off the franchise, so I didn't want to tread on that ground.
