Hugeisno1
What do you guys think about a tidal trap structure? In summary it's a sea farm. Not like the tidal pools you fish from but rather a sort of beach-bound farm that fills up overtime when the tide washes over it and either allows you to grow seaweed/limpets or collect items every few days as the tide comes in and refills the trap. It would trap one or more low tier items that may wash in with a tide. Items like sticks, coconuts, seaweed, limpets, empty bottles, and mollusks for example. It could work effectively in some seasons but wither in the dry season, overflow during the monsoon season or simply degrade over a certain number of uses and require maintenance. Perhaps replacing the washed away sand or frayed rope. It would possibly have a recipe equivalent in cost to a farm, most likely requiring plenty of rocks, perhaps a bit of sand and rope for the wall to trap tidal water. Like farms you could even research a better version using stone blocks that requires less maintenance or has a chance of trapping slightly better items like tropical fish or simply filling up in less time.
