[Idea] Obsidian Amulet

I'd really love some way of knowing for sure how close an eruption actually is to happening and how close it is to ending, so I suggest an item called the Obsidian Amulet, like the Thulecite one. It glows brighter and brighter the angrier the volcano is, so it has the dual-purpose of providing light at night during eruptions so you're less likely to get boned by meteors you couldn't quite see the shadow of in the darkness, and, obviously, it also tells you how close an eruption is to happening and how close it is to ending. I think this would be really useful to me personally. Nightmare fuel, obsidian and gold is how you make it I guess?

Also, I consider a issue not know how far the eruption is. Frequently I must close the game between the first warning and the 4th so, when I go back there is no way to find out when the Volcano will erupt.

Mostly I just start running away in the first eruption and don't go back to islands of value until the actual eruption.

This medalion could even charge up with each "warning" eruption and when its fully charged you can see its the actual eruption too.

If i'm not against an amulet to do that, I would prefer have a science machine like the rainmeter or the thermometer to warn us of the imminence of the next eruption.

In any case we definitly need something to do the jov since the pediod between 2 eruptions is variable.

I'm all for a way to tell this but i think something magical isn't really the right thing. Instead something simple like a portable Seismograph could work. Or have 2 versions a stationary one that can predict the Eruption much more precise and a portable one that just warns you just mere minutes before the Volcano errupts.

Also if it will be an amulet i would take out the Nightmarefuel instead it should be something you can easily get on the Volcano like a Dragoon Heart. Mostly because yes the Thulecite Medallion also used Nightmarefuel in its recipe however because of the Nightmarecycle you'r more likely to have Nightmarefuel to make one. Also it would give another use for the Heart.

Dunno why but this came to mind when i read Moai

 

 

But again i think something portable and placeable would be a good solution because you probably will go out a lot during dry season because you don't want Dragoon Eggs to smash your base and you need a lot of different Foodsources to survive.

A stationary seismograph could potentially be the more precise version, perhaps telling you an accurate time estimate of how much longer till the eruption, while the amulet is more vague (you'd have to judge by how bright it's shining and vague character quotes), portable, and serves a dual-purpose, like I mentioned earlier. I like the idea of a dragoon heart being used instead of nightmare fuel though! I could edit the recipe in the original post if you want, I think that's a much better idea in hindsight.

Klei said on the roadmap that the last update will be at the end of February. I'm sure they'll have bugs fixes and maybe even balancing patches after that but I assume there will only be 1 more content adding update.

Wow...If so, I hope the update will add some stuff that has been requested here for quite some time(mainly making the sea more than just a longer way to travel, and some content adjustments, like the characters and the much needed buffs and nerfs for them).

Its a sort of General update thing that will complete the game, after that Klei decides what they want to do cause, their is 50% chance klei will entirely change things like in the case of Watrica,

Updates will still be coming for fixing bugs and polishing things but first thing is to put down all the things that have to be in the game.

Ah ok. I wasn't around in any of the other Klei games' early access so I don't know how it goes.

Me neither, but I was hanging around when DST was taking place so I kinda figured out how Klei works, you don't know about the Original direction of DS which has been completely changed (Hope SW has adventure mode to give some explanation)
