I remember from reign of giants that you could place it on the ground and log out & back in and it would be light forever. I tried to replicate this glitch/feature with no success. I tried dropping them on the ground, holding them, filling them up before and different things people were saying to make it work. I have seen a couple Don´t Starve streamers still use this so I am wondering if it has been patched and if it only works with old lanterns or something like that. If a bug is found please report the issue in the appropriate support forum! So even if it didn't get patched, helping you to reproduce it again would go against the rules Though if you can't reproduce it, it probably was. I'm not sure, though. I'm not sure, though. I am sure I am not the only one who wants to have some permanent light source for his base. As long as there is no super lantern which you do not have to refuel then i am going to exploit this. I would never duplicate items or something like that. Anyways, this glitch/feature has been in the game for a long time so I always thought that klei does not really mind it. So if anyone knows how I can get infinite lanterns to light up my base, let me know. You can also just spawn a bunch of fireflies, that could also be a solution. I once had 8 fireflies around my fire pit. I didn't lose any sanity and had light all the time. But I do not want to use any mods and also I do not want to cheat in fireflies. I am sure there is a way to get infinite lanterns in Don´t Starve Shipwrecked vanilla. Just not sure how you do it or if it has been patched recently. I am not looking for some solution to not die or something like that. I know what I am doing in this game and I am currently working on a big mega base. I just cannot figure out how to get infinite lanterns which all the mega bases use this trick.
