Chesska
I only play with one person and I host a server from my computer. Normally there is little to no lag, and when there is lag it's often tolerable... but the lag generated by hordes of spiders that pour out of a Level 2 or higher den (much less several dens together) causes my friend's client to lag horribly, and he almost always ends up dying because of it. The same problem occurs with Hounds, but it's a lot less problematic since there are rarely ever as many hounds as a level 3 spider den. I, myself, never experience this issue and never have, but the client that connects to me (my friend) almost always does. It's been this way since the beginning of the beta and I've been patiently waiting for the netcode to get better and it has not. Both of our machines are more than adequate so it has nothing to do with that, and it even happens when we do a LAN game using a crossover cable so it's not that either. This is completely an issue of the netcode not being able to handle large amounts of aggressive enemies targeting a player. KitcheVadimas
Hmmm... This sounds like your computer can't handle having several entities at once. I don't have this issue; but my computer was built for heavy-duty gaming. How does it handle other games? Wonkit
Yes, this does sound more like an issue with your computer rather than the game itself. Do you mind posting a copy of your DXDiag so we may see your specs? Jorhlok
Heyo. This here's that friend. Here's part of the DXDiag on my laptop. Sometimes I play on my desktop which is similar (AMD APU as well) but 2-4 times powerful and connected via Ethernet. To be sure, I can play DS on either just fine.
