  1. Hello! I am a Long time Webber main who always pick Webber when the chance is available. As we close in on the character suggestions for Webber(I hope) I have been sitting on this idea for a while and with craft-able recipes have been introduced I though I'd re-tune this idea of Mine: Webber will be able to 'upgrade' Normal Spiders, Spider Warriois, Cave Spiders and Spitter Spiders. Each spider would have their own recipe, that when fed to the spider would trigger a "transform" animation, showing the spider opening it's mouth, metamorphing into it's new form by crawling out of it's own mouth, leaving it's old shell behind on the ground. When the shell is picked up it will act like the Eye-bone for chester, or like the Lavae Tooth for the Extra-Adorable Lavae, with the spider that transformed following Webber around. This spider will have more health, never leave Webber's side(unless the shell is left at base), will not eat meat directly off the ground like a regular spider and not attack Neutral Mobs(or other players) unless provoked. The Downside is that there is a limited amount of of them can be followed by one Webber, and a limited number of them on one server at a time. If a non-Webber player tries to pick up the shell, they're reply with something like. "No way I am touching that!" or "I better leave this stuff to Webber". When Webber tries to pick up too many shells he'll say something like: "Too many friends! They get Jealous!" or "It's too crowded!". The Spider also need to be Fed like a Extra-Adorable Lavae or Tall Bird Chick, and start attacking things unless properly fed. I had a bit of an idea that depending on what spider you feed, you get a different Result: Default Spider: This will become a Worker Spider, it can chop wood and help Webber get out of Ewecus Snot, and will behave like a regular pig would. Warrior Spider: This will be a Spider designed for Combat, increased Damage and Health, these can be used for hunting or guarding a base. Cave Spider: As the cave spider already has a shell, I was thinking it would become larger with even more health, and damage resistance. Perfect for tanking attacks from larger mobs or bosses.(Maybe also give it a chance to drop it's shell upon death, with will be similar to a shellmet) Spitter: Spider designated for DPS, will stay away from mobs and attack them from afar with their web. Dangling Depth Dweller: I don't have a Good idea yet for how these could be upgraded other than damage and Health, but I don't want to leave our spider brothers from belong hanging. Just like Woodie can craft the Totems for Transforming, Webber would need a Totem for each of the spiders, feeding the wrong totem to the wrong spider might only yield the spider as a temporary follower. I am thinking the Normal ones would have Monster Meat and something else, maybe more meat? But for the Cave Spider Recipe I thought about adding minerals like Marble or Gold and then have the new shell shine like the Mineral consumed. Maybe the Depth Dweller's would contain Nightmare Fuel? (Yes I am aware I was missing the Shattered Spiders, but I don't have a neat idea for them either so far) Please tell me what you think below! I am reposting this as my previous post got to old it was deleted.
  2. Spider fields. You know what I'm talking about. Five or six spider dens all clustered together, usually right between your base and where you want to be at the moment. Annoyances, for certain, and also completely useless. Or are they? Today I'll be teaching you how to make use of these infernal death traps and even safely and easily clear them away, making use of two vital survival techniques. Hound Cemeteries While the spider dens are still between tiers one and two, strap on your logsuit and begin a simple spider killing fest. The first hit should bring out 2-4 spiders, and the second should bring out 1-2 spiders. Kill them, and be sure to pick up all the monster meat. Only hit each den twice per day. After a few days, you should have a lot of monster meat. Go a little east or west of your camp and spread it all around the ground. When you hear the hounds' breathing, stand in the middle of this field. When the hounds arrive, they will be endlessly distracted by the meat, and you have pretty much as many hits as you want on it. I once killed four like this with a torch. Work fast though, because they eat more than they drop, and it won't last forever. Armor is not needed, because the hounds will always target food before mobs. Make sure this is not by anything flammable, as an effective Hound Cemetery will last well into the occurances of flame hounds. Colony Wars Low on silk? Well, you never will be again! Once your spider dens are a high enough tier to drop eggs (but not high enough to spawn queens!) make a pan flute and hit one spider den once. Now play the flute the second the spiders emerge, 'cause the warrior spiders are quick as all heck and need to be put down fast. The spiders will all fall asleep, and you can hit the den and play the flute again. Once more, and you should be clear to take it down all the way. When it breaks, grap the eggs and run. You can get the silk later, those spiders are gonna be furious when they get up. Now wait a day for the newly homeless arachnids to calm down, and collect the silk from the den. Now comes the fun part. Make yourself a Spiderhat, go to the spider field, and start some Colony Wars! All you have to do is put on the hat and hit a den. These spiders are now yours to command. Attack another colony, but break away before you get there. Take off the hat. Leave. Your work is finished here. Here's how it works: Let's say the colony you briefly commanded is Colony A. As you leave, Colony A will attack the den you told them to, let's call them Colony B. Colony A attacks Colony B's den. Spiders fight really, really slowly, so it should last well into the night. When the rest of the spiders from the other dens come out, they will only see Colony B spiders attacking Colony A spiders, and defend Colony A, giving Colony A plenty of time to break Colony B's nest. Now Colony A will help the other colonies finish off Colony B, eat the remains of all the dead, and go back to their own den. Give it a day or two, and come back to pick up the eggs and silk. Now it's time to start another war. TL;DR: If there are at least three dens, your spiders will win. When you're down to two dens, stand on the sidelines as they fight, for your spiders will now invariably lose. When they do, put your Spiderhat back on and have the colony you just attacked attack the colony you just controlled. Continue you this until one dies, and then take out the last colony while they're weak. Congratulations! You just took out a ton of spider dens and have enough silk to last a lifetime. If you'd like to, replant the remaining eggs, perhaps somewhere more convenient, and start the whole process over, refueling your Hound Cemetery while you're at it.

  4. Hungarian translation

We will have polish translation very soon. It would be great to have it included "officially" so it will work on xbox too.
  5. Bringing back the oldest thread xD
  6. I love this game, so I used Google translate specifically to feedback my opinion, if the syntax is very strange, do not laugh at me. I pre-ordered from the test the first version of this game, because it is to like klei before the shank. In several versions of the early years, when I encountered fog often a little cards, but it does not affect my actual experience, but in recent versions I encountered fog often skip frames. Game where normal operation, but I do not see, I can only see the general character jump forward, this situation disturbs me greatly. My system is XP, My graphics card is the ATI 4300, system is not replaced in the short term and intends to hope that the working group as Soon as possible to solve the mist frame skipping problem, I know my graphics card may be too old, but I think the experience of this kind of game too bad Do you think? Thank you! !
  7. All ghosts in the game hurt anything they touch, although while Abigail is naturally aggressive against other monsters, a Ghost is naturally aggressive to the player. I'd blame it on the fact that Ghosts are made of harmful ectoplasm, and Abigail is a little too clingy to Wendy.
  8. Welp

This is definitely not what I signed up for, y'all. Just wanted to go poke at a den, see if it poked back. I don't even know how it turned into this. I mean look, this one is eating her young: This other one is eating another Spider Queen! It's madness! Look at that little guy on the left. He's just like "don't eat my mommy!" and she's like "don't look, son, it'll all be over Soon". These ones over here don't even know what to do. They're just having a terrified dance party. http://i49.tinypic.com/161c0fs.jpg This one's got a freaking tree in her army http://i45.tinypic.com/2e5jmfb.jpg And this one's just staring at me like "you're next" http://i45.tinypic.com/2a6qt7k.jpg And I didn't even hit any of the dens ...Welp indeed. It was nice knowing you. http://i46.tinypic.com/hun1jr.jpg
  9. To some, I'm sure this tactic seems obvious but to others I think it would be rather helpful. In my world, there are little to no pigs yet there are many level 3 spider nests. Taking on a nest that big by yourself is practically a death wish. No amount of log armor will save you there. The strategy I use is as followed... 1. Build a Fire Dart. Set up some bird traps and catch some redbirds so you can get feathers. Etc etc etc... 2. Scavenge for pine cones. This will be somewhat crucial later on. 3. Plant trees around the nest. 4. Attack during the day. After shooting your dart at then nest it will be set on fire and so will surrounding objects. Such as the newly planted trees. The reasons why you attack during the day is that the spiders will NOT attack you. They will run around for a bit and then go back to sleep. The nest will take enough damage to deplete and most of the spiders will die. The stragglers can then be easily taken out single handedly. However, sometimes attacking a sleeping spider will alert other nearby spiders, so be careful. 5. Loot Charcoal, silk, monster meat its all yours! Horay!
  10. Bug Submission Please choose a category [Gameplay] Platform Steam Version Number - Issue title hat dissapears after changing skin with tent Steps to reproduce I have used a tent to change from flame girl wearing a spider hat to professor. The peofessor appeared without a hat and the hat was nowhere to be found Describe your issue It was not easy to make the spider hat and I lost it 30 secs after I made it so it was a bit dissapointing
  11. Hi there! I recently bought this game and I absolutely love it. There's one problem though: I'm having trouble getting rid of Level II spider nests and dealing with the Spider Warriors. I try to get pigs in to help me get rid of them, but Beefaloes keep on killing them before I can get them to the nest. Is there any way I can get a Beefalo to kill the Spider Warriors? Or do ya'll know of any good strategies to get rid of them? Thanks.

  16. Bug Submission Please choose a category [Gameplay] Platform Steam Version Number - Issue title [buggy Spacebar] When harvesting traps Steps to reproduce Harvesting Traps With Spacebar Describe your issue when using the spacebar to complete various tasks such as harvesting traps some strange things happen. When harvesting straw traps they dont seem to give any yield and when harvesting bird traps the sound played when a bird has been trapped and is now jumping around inside the trap still plays even though you have picked up the trap. I have only known this to happen with traps but im sure that a few other things may have problems when harvesting with spacebar.
  17. Its easy to reach a point where you aren't engaged anymore. So i was thinking if spiders slowly spread their eggs over time you would eventually find large areas infested with them, making night progressively have more monsters and making you need to try and push the egg sacks back if they spread near your camp or are taking over an island. Really anything else that would make dangers get worse over time would be good. I'd also love a way to pick whether maps generate with bridges or one landmass.
  18. Bug Submission Please choose a category [Gameplay] Platform Steam Version Number - Issue title Items randomly disappearing when dropped. Steps to reproduce This issue occurred when I was collecting grass and twigs around my camp, getting supply's to survive. Then all of a sudden my items that I dropped, my manure and fishing rod disappeared... completely gone and now I have no idea where they went. Describe your issue This issue occurred when I was collecting grass and twigs around my camp, getting supply's to survive. Then all of a sudden my items that I dropped, my manure and fishing rod disappeared... completely gone and now I have no idea where they went. Is this a bug or something else? I'm not really sure, or am I just going more insane.... Any information, feedback or experiences that are similar are appreciated. Thank you. Zachary.
  19. Are spiders still flammable? I've been wondering if they still are, I would get mad at them for killing my Pigmen and then I would try to set them on fire, but the bad thing is they just won't lite....those little buggers. Have they gotten themselves fire proof? It doesn't seem to be working anymore, anyone know why? And was it the update they had or just a bug? Feel free to posts your thoughts, all feedback is appreciated. Thank you. Zachary.
