Svetozar
Hi,Don't Starve community; So,I have been building my base, and I thought that I can have Beefalos isolated (inside a wall) so I could farm them for meat and wool.I have killed all but 2 Beefalos which I have isolated. It was winter and they were not repopulating during the mating season in winter,so I thought that I have to wait until summer mating season. However, the summer came and Beefalos aren't reproducing,so I thought I was doing something wrong. The space they are contained is 4x4 (Pitchfork) tiles. I think that is enough, but if it isn't,I can very easily expand it.My Beefalos aren't really an priority, because I already have enough food from rabbit traps, ponds and bees. However I shall use the Beefalo wool for flooring in my base, and their delicious meat for higher chances of my long-term survival (my objective is at least 200 days, and my current record is around 50 days). So I was confused;did I need to feed them? Or do they need more space for their mating. And so I kindly ask for assistance in this apparently confusing situation, -Your loyal Don't Starve player, Moexxman PS: I have some mods installed Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/62022-repopulating-beefalos/ Share on other sites

Moon64
Something changed with beefalo when they last ninja patched the game. They no longer breed like they use, if you move them away from where they were, pen them, they never repopulate even if they get red butt. I hope someone makes a mod that re-enables it. This type of flexibility for base creation is what makes the game fun!
