The Patient Boomerang (Bug?)

Recommended Posts

Day 13.  I've just crafted my first boomerang for this world to hunt Koalefants (unaware of the change to Koalefants.)  Excited to try it out, I throw it at a nearby bird, but forget to catch it, instead moving out of the way.  Where I expect to get hit, the boomerang sails past me, apparently never to be seen again.  I shrug it off, thinking they must have changed the punishment for not catching a boomerang from self-damage to losing the item.  I craft another and move on.

Day 151.  I decide to explore a bit more to fully uncover my world, and find myself a little west of where I threw my first boomerang, when, out of nowhere, a boomerang hits me.  It's been waiting.  All this time.  Many winters have come and gone but the boomerang remained.  The weird thing was, it was travelling the direction I originally threw it, so it had to have changed directions after it disappeared. (I threw it east, it came back and disappeared to the west, and it hit me travelling east years later.)  Anyone know why this happened?

Wow this was a touching and hilarious story I think you should call that boomerang Hachikō and bring it with you next time you world hop.
