Pirates can be a new hostile mob in the game. They should be found randomly in the ocean on boats. And when killed they should drop things such as, dubloons, cutlasses, ect. If not on land, they could be found in camps guarding tresure like the clockworks did in the original dont starve. It could also give the pirate hat a new use in the game. When worn, the pirates wont attack you. If not that. When you become too naughty, they come to steal your stuff, pirates could replace Krampus. It won't make sense to find a single pirate alone, then he won't be a pirate. A captain is always with his crew on a big ship with multiple cannons.
