Azrellion Posted October 2, 2015 Share Posted October 2, 2015 Running into an issue after trial and error figuring out how to host. I finnaly have my shards connecting to each other... My issue now is that the server isn't even showing on the list! before i added the cave shard to my server i could connect but since adding caves it's just gone. I have port forwarded both the Master and Slave Port i just can't see it. I'm guessing the solution is simple but i just can't figure it out i've had a scan through the forums but i can't find anyone with the same issue just people having issues getting other people to connect I've lost the will now so hoping one of you guys might be able to help me out here! EDIT: Fixed it, well I actually didn't it shows up in the server browser but not under LAN as I expected. Everything is working perfectly time to go spelunking! TOO THE CAVES. Thanks so much Klei I honestly didn't expect ruins so soon hence why i've spent about 6 hours configuring my server to get it working!! If you call c_shutdown() on one of them, the other will remain up, and this could leave them in incompatible versions or something like that. If the problem persists, please post the master and slave logs, so we can see what's going on. Not many people are trying multi-machine set-ups so there might be some bugs specific to that we haven't encountered yet. Yes I am, I have individual control over both servers via an online interface. So I close one, and then the other, and then start them up one at a time. They work fine before closing, but when opening the sinkholes are plugged. These logs are from a world that I restarted. Anyway, I found a bug with splumonkeys. Every time a monkey tries to take something, it succeeds. For instance, a monkey starts taking something while i'm running and it ends up stealing something out of my inventory when i'm already half a screen away... Monkey taking something <-- Big distance ---> MeAnd it ends up taking something anyway. Please fix this, it makes going into my ruins unplayable (pods everywhere upon entering ruins). Yet ANOTHER splumonkey bug. Monkeys can still fling sh*t at you while they are sleeping. Very annoying but pretty funny. Developer Ipsquiggle Posted October 2, 2015 Author Developer Share Posted October 2, 2015 Old and New bugs! Same "token error," but now I can't get into the caves whilst my wife had no problem. Also, when starting this session, my walking cane(in-game gift from my wife, who was furious when it) disappeared. It was as if she had never made it( not prototyped), but she no longer had the materials, either. I had nothing in my hands instead of the cane. It's like the game didn't believe in walking canes so it deleted it from its own memory. We'll have more look into the token error. Concerning the cane: Can you recall any other irregularities around this? Was the can recently made before the last time you shut down, or did you have it for a while? Was your last migration before or after she made it/you got it? My first guess is that the last save got missed, so the last little bits of things you did got lost, does that seem like a possibility? I have a question, is the ability for companions to follow a player between sharded worlds planned in the works? I'm creating a modded character themed around companions, so I'm wondering if I should start developing a workaround or just await patiently. Yep, we're not sure about pigmen and other "somewhat loyal" followers like that, but pets like the lavae should follow you wherever you go by the time we're done. Got an easy living log source. werlpolf Posted October 2, 2015 Share Posted October 2, 2015 When I ate the glowing berry and leave the cave, the effect of glowing disappears! Or didn't I just see it at dusk? The moles and rabbits dropped by the quakes cannot be picked up. Mostly when I find them, they are in sleeping state. So I really need a hammer and a trap taking them, in being able to create earmuffs and moggles? Maybe it should be possible to knock them out with a fist, when they are sleeping. After the punch, the rabbits come to the shocking state, like when they get dropped by the quakes. If you hold ctrl over them it says attack MISSING NAME. Makes that shadow swooshing sound when you hit them.
