Bunnymen are doing really weird ****.

Recommended Posts

I'm not sure if its just me but bunnies tend to randomly attack me when i befriend them. No, its not because i have meat. No food in my inventory and BAM befriended bunnymen start gnawing on my skull. I don't even hit them!

More weird habits:

Bunnymen run away when hurt right? Right? I wish... I would smack a bunny and it would get hurt, say run and start to run away but suddenly *whoosh* dash towards me and hit me (all of this happens within 2 seconds). Again, no food in inventory.

Conclusion:

Bunnymen tend to randomly break their code by denying their mechanic by randomly become hostile even though they are a NEUTRAL mob (nothing was done to provoke them. NOTHING.) and bite your head off. They run away when hurt but in my case, they dont.

Anyone else having this problem?

Are you playing as Webber maybe? That could be it though. Just throwing it out there, since you didn't specify what character you were playing as. Plus if this is feedback for DST cavesbeta, you should have posted this in there so the devs handling the beta can see it faster and give you a better answer as to why they act the way they do.

Cheers.

Hey befriended bunnymen also have an insanity aura that makes your sanity go down I could be wrong but isn't suppose to go up?

Edit: and no they weren't beard lords.

Forgot about that. They should also have a sanity aura of +25 a min.

Beard lords don't run at you with their arms in the air or make growling noises. They act just like normal bunny men, text included.

I saw that too, and in my first try in the caves they start making beardlord noises, but they don't changed in any way, just the sounds

No, i was Woodie.

Strange, that didn't happen to me, though I only befriended them for a few seconds (I killed the 2 bunnymen I befriended afterwards because of the insanity aura they gave me). Normally, they just attack you and I can kill them with 4 tentacle spike hits. As a village they're strong, but on their own they're pretty easy to kill.

Try befriending 3-4 bunnymen and get them to fight for you. After trying this a few times you should notice the bad habit they have of randomly turning hostile.
