I have often found that, after I have obtained the Walking Cane, I end up with many now-useless Walrus Tusks during my attempts to gain a Tam-o'-shanter.

My idea to put these to use was for a weapon, the Sharpened Tusk Spear. Due to its non-essential nature, one would not feel pressured to craft it instead of the Walking Cane.

It would do 51 damage, like a Tentacle Spike, but have 200 uses, like the Battle Spear. The crafting recipe would be simple: 2 twigs, 2 rope, 1 Walrus Tusk

Generally, you should have a maximum of 3 different resources to make something, or the images in the crafting menu become misaligned. How bout the same recipe without the flint? The tusk is presumably already very sharp/strong, so it can just be a "Tusk Spear".

My reasoning was due to my lack of knowledge of how sharp walrus tusks actually are; I hypothesize that a lot of their deadliness comes from the strength of the animal.

If anyone could correct me, feel free.

You may be right.

@KidneyBeanBoy I've got most of it set up, you'll just have to provide the png images and I can put them in. Need 3 of them; inventory item, equipped, and on ground. See this for an example.

@ShnarfBird Hmm. Not sure. Either way, it should be max 3 ingredients. Suggestions?

Edit: Put me up for coding. Already did most of it, I'll be done today.

Edit2: We'll also need a mod icon.

I suppose just the twigs, rope, and tusk is fine.

Here's the .pngs. I accidentally used the smallest image as my original asset, so if you want me to redo them I'll get them to you by tomorrow.

Hey, thanks! And about the size, I think that would be good if you could redo it.

In addition, I think the tusk itself does not protrude from the stick enough. Perhaps make it a bit longer, if it's not too much bother?

I apologize if this sounds nitpicky.

Here it is so far. Updated the images and recompiled. The textures are still too small. Added a spear for comparison.

Still not sure why the weapon is invis in hand. Don't have time to fix it at the moment though, sorry. Can someone else try to recompile it? I might be doing something wrong.

TuskSpear.zip

I don't see the issue. The file I downloaded has small images, only 160 pt high (incl empty space). If you want it bigger, scale it up (either the file itself or in spriter using x-scale and y-scale).

As for the handheld, I understand all* about OverrideSymbol. You probably have to refer to the animation as "timeline_1" or alike, and if that doesn't do the trick, use this tool.
