Free copy of DST

First time using the forum, so this might be a re-post, i apologize in that case.

 

So Klei announced that the users that previously purchased the game before June 3 will receive a free copy of Don't Starve Together.

 

The thing is that i bought the game from the site not from Steam,

Am i still eligible for it? And how do i get my free copy of Don't Starve Together?

Unfortunately DST "heavily relies on Steam API" at the moment, so you can't use it outside of steam. I think you can use your key in steam though (EDIT: which, according to the FAQ, gives you DST too).

Thank you Mobbstar for answering my question, I have got another question;

I have lost my game key, I probably deleted the e-mail while doing a clean up on my e-mail address, do you know any way to obtain it back? 

Or i just need to hit the support and explain them my situation?
