Slightly confused

Alright so isn't a Queen supposed to spawn out of a Tier 3 Den only? I just saw one pop right out of a Tier 1 Den, and the Den is still there after she pop out of it.

This has happened to me as well. I've wondered about it, but never posted it.

I think it only looks like a lvl 1 den, meaning she was already a queen when you got there. Because when the queen "hides" she looks like a lvl 1 nest. I did see a lvl 3 nest convert into a queen, like in the promo video, and last but not least I saw a queen revert back into a real lvl 1 nest.

So she was "hiding"? Then is she suppose to leave behind a Tier 1 nest after popping out? If so that means they are going to keep multiplying.

Well as far as I know, she can sit down and look like a lvl1 nest, just like the treeguard can look like a tree when not aggro, but she is still the queen then. But once I left behind a queen, came back the next day and she had become a "real" lvl1 nest, so perhaps that is her lifecycle? I am not too experienced with the spider queen but those are my observations so far.

My problem is why another Den is still there after she just transformed/came out of hiding?

I made a backup of my save to confirm this. I went to the exact Tier 1 Den that she just pops out of each time I load it. So I reloaded it and went in quick this time and attacked the Den, and guess what it was a Tier 1 Den and not a Queen in hiding. So what is going on?

I've seen this too. Not too sure what's going on, because when I return to the same area a few days later there is only one nest instead of what I assumed would be two. To be on the safe side, I've destroyed all spiders (except for the nests in the swamp) in my world. Took some serious time, but I think it was worth it

Spider dens now have a complete life cycle. Lvl 3 dens/queens will migrate and turn into lvl 1 dens, like how large trees cycle to smaller trees eventually.

We all know that, but that isn't the issue here. A lvl 1 den is turning into a Queen, and there is still a lvl 1 den where the Queen just transformed from. So basically that's 2 dens from 1.

I had a queen (my only encounter so far) pop up out of a tier-3 den, but when she emerged there was a tier-1 den in her place, do you think it's a way of multiplying the eggs? Meaning it's PURPOSELY there? Because if you think about it, if only 1 egg drops from the spider queen (when you kill her) and from a tier-3 den, wouldn't they eventually become extinct if you keep killing the Queen and not-replanting her eggs? I'm thinking the tier-1 nest where she was originally located is supposed to be there and it's awesome that it is because now they spread like a plague. Not to mention one of the things Kevin mentioned for this update was "an increasing monster threat over time."

If it was on purpose then it's kind of weirdly done.

I would understand if she lays a den down or something. But the animation is her popping her limbs and head out of the den and roaming around, yet the den is still right there.
