Razezezeaz Posted January 11, 2015 Share Posted January 11, 2015 This would be a nice option for players that want to spice things up inside a server they played on before. i have a group of friends and one of them wanna try to change the characters but we don't want to lose all the progress made during the time we played before so I hope that an answer to that would coem up soon. I can't seem to get the console command to work either and I search all over the steam and Klei's forum for an answer but It seem like they were fixed by a hot fix so I'm kinda bumped out. This was a post I've already made on teh steam forum but recently I've found out that Klei's support isn't based on the steam forum so, duhh, and I'm migrating the post to here for better support form teh community. Asparagus Posted January 12, 2015 Share Posted January 12, 2015 Chang your registry... tried it... the world is there, I changed characters... but lost all the items of my previous character, lost all tech-knowledge so I had to go to our base and spend resources to re-learn them... also, the map was reset... but yeah... I don't recommend it. OK... Bye... Fun fact: Before the sanity update, the tent's use was to change characters, returning all items that were used. Maybe they could implement that again, but I think it would be broken considering the "strange new powers" update. It may not matter as much in multiplayer, but it would still be pretty broken to have access to all character's abilities on one character, without people dropping in and dropping their items then leaving. Unless the characters wouldn't get their new powers unless it's a mechanic like Wolfgang, It would kind of take away from the point of being a character, especially since the strange new powers update added much more to a character than stats (for most, at least). For example I would like to change into winter clothes whenever i want.
