The slacker is a slow passive cloth based creature.

consumes creatures and items randomly, putting them in nicely packaged gift packs.

Open one = either: "Yay, i needed that item", or "pack of hounds, REPLAY"

Doesn't like fire at all, dies if light on fire.

Extinguishes all fire close to him by blowing air at the fire. (Tree fires, Fireplaces D:)

Likes to randomly turn into a cloth rug, getting carried away in the win.

Nice creature idea and nice picture as well. I would appreciate to see some creatures which add extra spookiness to the game. For some extra extra spookiness the "slacker" could be always surrounded by a huge fog cloud. How did you imagine the gift looks like and how/where does the slacker carry it? Having the chance to get good or bad presents could depend on the naughtiness of the player. So the slacker would be an "assistant" of Krampus. Extinguishing fireplaces at a single blow would be to strong, maybe it slowly weakens the fire, so you have enough time to add some extra fuel and kill it.

I love everything but the 'extinguishes fires' idea. I find it to be rather over powered, As he can just approach the campfire at night and make it disappear in a second. Now if the seasons are added, He could be a rather interesting winter monster, which would get along with the gifts idea. ( Which I indeed like )

OVERPOWERED?

You SCARED? HUH? :D

Actually, I really like the idea of a creature which blows out your fire, if it was balanced right.

Imagine if he just appeared at the edge of your campfire's light. He'd then stare silently at you for a few seconds, watching. If you didn't chase him off, he'd take a breath and blow out your fire, leaving you in the dark. His cackle fades into the night as you hear the Night Monster approach.

As long as you had time to react to chase the Extinguisher off, I think this could add an element of terror to the night game that frequently can be a little monotonous. You shouldn't be safe at night just because you stay within the light. The darkness should come for you, too. :-)
