Maximum124
Nope, not unless you're playing with Wickerbottom who can renew them Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/38645-do-tentacles-respawn/#findComment-511687 Share on other sites
the truthseeker
The only other option is to hop to a new world. A temporary measure is if you need "more" of them is to enter a cave and find the "swamp" areas that have not been harvested yet. But once those also are gone, no more until you Teleportato it. Mobbstar
Nope, not unless you're playing with Wickerbottom who can renew them Although that requires tentacle spots, which are a rare drop. A bit too rare for nine tentacles. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/38645-do-tentacles-respawn/#findComment-511855 Share on other sites

Its actually just three, but if if you get spots 1 out of 3 times, then technically its renewable. So I guess just have good luck, or rely on the tentapillars, which do respawn i think??? the wiki doesn't actually say Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/38645-do-tentacles-respawn/#findComment-511859 Share on other sites

magister82
I definately know small tentacles do not respawn (at least not in any reasonable timeframe) and i suspect big tentacles doesn not respawn either. The wiki list the spots as a 20% drop, so if you are playing Wickerbottom it should be a renewable resource thanks to the book, otherwise it is not renewable. BurningBalls
never beaten a BT yet, so not sure on our cave-dwelling big brother.I haven't either, the Big Tentacle is probably the only thing I haven't killed so far.But according to the wiki, the Big Tentacles are a renewable source. And they can drop any items a regular tentacle can.
