NeverSceam
Only on day 20 but as of right now, the game has stopped being challenging. Just farming Dragonfruit all day and not starving =/ As i continue to play will more mobs start attacking or will there ever be a need for me to leave my cozy encampment to do anything other than just exploring? RonG777
I would suggest exploring. You will find all kinds of "interesting" things out there.
Solnaga
Prepatch the hounds would come in bigger packs and possible be a firehound. Not sure how much difficulty has ramped up postpatch but was considered easy prepatch. Regardless, DS is still a work in progress and you should expect it to get more interesting and difficult with each update. And yes, go explore; part of the danger comes from being risky. Rayze Darr
Aye, exploration is key. I was on day 27 when I hit that problem this most recent playthrough. Decided to attack a tentacle for the first time in my life. It killed me, but luckily I had a meat effigy. I returned to the swamp to retrieve my things, unawares that the tentacles weren't mobile, but rather stayed in the same spot. Covered by my gear, I didn't even see it start to spring up. Bam, dead.Ya gotta kinda make your own challenges at this point. It'll get more dangerous, worry not. For now, take some chances! Much more fun that way. Solnaga
Also you can avoid using meat effigies or amulets etc if you want to make the game more interesting. There have been some threads with limitations to make the game more challenging. For example I play Wilson but I just store my beard in a chest and never use it. Basically I have no benefits
501105
Some dangers will pop up more often, hounds will come in greater numbers as the day passes (with firehounds) and several Krampii can come as well.
qwerm
and several Krampii can come as well.only if you choose not to live in harmony with the furry ones; subsisting on berries and seeds until you can get a crock pot to cook monster meat does wonders for avoiding the ire of krampus. 501105
True, but most players will be naughty at some times, plus he does offer a nice reward that can drop.
Syd
Also, keep in mind that the content we have access to now is just a small portion of what will be in the final game, so it's pretty easy to hit the content wall at the moment, but we have a lot to look forward to between now and the Don't Starve's release. Be sure to check out the Roadmap thread up in the stickies if you haven't yet.
qwerm
plus he does offer a nice reward that can drop.Yeah, I heard about krampus' sack dropping at a fairly rare rate, what DOES it do anyway?I'm not taking my chances with him until I understand the supposed benefits of making an enemy of a karma demon and/or we figure out how to GAIN niceness to offset said naughtiness. Syd
Yeah, I heard about krampus' sack dropping at a fairly rare rate, what DOES it do anyway? My guess is that it's a backpack with higher capacity than the one that's crafted. That's just my guess, though.I've been being exceptionally naughty in an effort to get that item for myself to see exactly what it is.
501105
Same here, but from what I hear it has a 1% change to drop or so.
