code4240 Posted May 25, 2014 Share Posted May 25, 2014 (edited) I'm working on my first mod, it's a sort of monster girl that can eat monster meat and horrible foods (pigskin) as well as see in the dark, and not loose as much sanity from night and monsters, but is unable to eat vegetables, is automatically attacked by pigs, etc. I'm not totally sure what all the features will be at this point because I'm still grappling with the balancing, but the gist is that she's a monster (as in, if she were a mob, she'd drop monster meat when you killed her). Because she's a monster, her color scheme is reversed from the normal characters, who have pale skin and black hair: Screenshot. The textures are not finished, so I cropped out the ugly bits. She is very calm, almost never yelling (ironic given the nature of most monsters in the game), and she also talks in a strange way, such as saying cooked food has been "carbonized" , or calling the deconstruction staff an "entropy accelerator". So, I'm just wondering what I should name her. Obviously it needs to start with a W, and I'd like it to sound strange or exotic, but not ugly or anything. I'm at a total loss here. I've never even been good at coming up with normal names. P.S: If I go with your name, I'll put you in the credits! As for the name specifically, I would suggest Maala. It is unusual and exotic sounding, but not ugly. It means sick or weak. I think it would be ironic seeing as she sounds like a strong character. Or you might take the name more literally and work some disadvantage into her stats/playstyle.
