Ponds should dry up in Summer

Recommended Posts

Maybe instead of drying up entirely, after a little while, say, 3 or 4 days, ponds start to dry out, and whenever it rains they refill for another few days?

Pretty good idea. I usually never fish or catch frogs though, would it make much of a difference ?

Given that ponds freeze in winter, they should dry up in the heat of Summer, and stop spawning frogs or mosquitos.

I like this, even though I almost never rely on either as a major source of food; apart from the occasional cleanup following a frog shower.
