Eulogy Posted April 30, 2014 Share Posted April 30, 2014 So pissed right now because I got to the 3rd Adventure World and died when I was at the place to assemble all pieces and got killing by them damn robots. Why in the bloody hell does it have to be so hard to get Maxwell?! I mean, he's cool and all but he's not the best character. I just want to play as him because he dapper and looks cool but it's SO hard to get him and it's going to take so long to get him. Wish I could "cheat" to get him like some people have done... oCrapaCreeper Posted April 30, 2014 Share Posted April 30, 2014 When you look up his hidden backstory and connect all of the dots, Maxwell is a satisfying reward for adventure mode. He's pretty damn high up in terms of powerful characters though, arguably the best character with the right playstyle (although Webber is pretty close too). Starts with powerful end game items, never need to use sanity restoring clothes, early shadow manipulator, explore caves with no sanity drain, use magic items more, and being able to use Codex Umbra to summon cheap followers who fight for you and do chores. Completely ok since adventure mode is pretty hard to beat. But hey look on the bright side, you probably learned something from the experience and are now more likely to get even further. emerphish Posted May 4, 2014 Share Posted May 4, 2014 Wilson.if you can get past world one, WX78 is by far the best for adventure, with gear upgrades that persist through worlds, and once you are upped all the way so get to use them as stackable deer eyes that give sanity. Parrotoss Posted May 5, 2014 Share Posted May 5, 2014 Yeah, the clockworks can easily manage a cheap kill. Try kiting them towards spiders or other enemies that will in turn kill them. Make it a goal to kill all clockworks before even going near the portal piece.
