What would happen if you ring the old bell in caves or ruins?

I was curious of this before this very post, so I asked my friend to try it. Like Sideview said, nothing, the durability just goes down. It would be funny if his foot stomping around on the surface caused the biggest earthquake in the history of Don't Starve...

Earthquake that dislodges a large rock from the ceiling, acting as both an earthquake and bigfoot, with the chance of other large rocks falling nearby, just as bigfoot.

I think it's fair that nothing happens. I doubt the old bell can be herd from ''bigfoot'' while underground. Even more so if the bell is used while being in the ruins! It's already really (too?) good as it is, the addition of any use underground would be a bit too much in my opinion =\
